Frankfort, Kentucky - The Centennial of the Kentucky State Capitol

Washington, DC Exhibit - Russell Senate Office Building
It was great honor to be invited to exhibit in Washington, DC on Capitol Hill in the Rotunda of the Russell Senate Office Building, September 20 - October 2, 2009. Susan greeted and met people from all over the USA during the week. The experience exceeded all expectations! Below are some photos of the exhibit.

My husband, Mel and I made our way very early to the "Hill" to set-up all 50 paintings (and easels) in the Rotunda.

Guests began arriving in groups . . .

. . . . .and individually. There was a steady stream of people attending all week long.

I was honored with a visit from Senator Chambliss (GA) as well as foreign guests
(Chief Deputy Prime Minister, Vietnam). Many staff attended the exhibit from the
Senate & Congress. It was a privilege to talk at length with Mrs. O'Malley
who has served many years on staff (her son is the Governor of Maryland).

My neice Christy and her four children visited from PA . . . . A really nice boy from NY state visited with his Grandmother and Dad. His favorite state was FL!

"The Magificent Fifty" lived up to its title. I experienced the highest of honors to exhibit in such a fabulous location - Capitol Hill.
Many thanks to Tennessee Senator, Lamar Alexander & staff for making this possible.
Thank you to those who donated time and funds to The National Capitol Heitage Foundation, Inc. project.
